Nuh (AS) was sent by Allah to guide his people back to the worship of One God. He called them to Allah for 950 years! But most people mocked him and refused to believe. Allah commanded Nuh to build a great ark (boat). The people laughed at him building a boat far from the sea. When the construction was complete, Allah sent a great flood. Nuh took the believers and pairs of every animal onto the ark. The waters rose high, covering the mountains. Only those on the ark were saved. This story teaches us incredible patience — Nuh never gave up calling to Allah for nearly a thousand years, and Allah protected those who believed.

فَأَنجَيْنَاهُ وَأَصْحَابَ السَّفِينَةِ
Fa-anjaynāhu wa aṣḥābas-safīnah
Translation: So We saved him and the companions of the ship.
