Being Honest - Always Tell the Truth

Learn that telling the truth is very important in Islam.

Lesson & Story

Allah loves children who tell the truth! The Prophet ﷺ said: Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. This means if you always tell the truth, you will be a good person and Allah will give you Paradise! When you do something wrong, don't lie about it. Tell the truth and say you're sorry. Allah loves people who are honest. The Prophet ﷺ was known as Al-Amin — the Trustworthy — because he NEVER told a lie, even before he became a prophet! The Prophet ﷺ said: A person cannot be a true believer if they lie. So always tell the truth, even if it's scary. Allah will be happy with you, and your parents and friends will trust you.
