Prophet Al-Yasa (AS) - The Inheritor of Knowledge

Learn about Prophet Al-Yasa (AS), who inherited the knowledge and mission of Prophet Ilyas.

Lesson & Story

Prophet Al-Yasa (peace be upon him) was a prophet of Allah. He is mentioned in the Quran alongside Ilyas (AS) and Dhu al-Kifl (AS). Some scholars say Al-Yasa was a student and successor of Prophet Ilyas (AS), inheriting his knowledge and prophethood. Allah says: 'And remember Ismail, Al-Yasa, and Dhul-Kifl — and all are among the best.' Al-Yasa (AS) continued the mission of calling the Children of Israel to worship Allah alone. He was known for his wisdom and dedication. The Quran elevates Al-Yasa as one of the chosen, guided prophets. Despite living among people who often strayed from the truth, Al-Yasa remained steadfast and called people to Allah with patience and wisdom. His story teaches us the importance of carrying knowledge forward and passing it to the next generation.
