Prophet Dhul-Kifl (AS) - The Patient One
Learn about Prophet Dhul-Kifl (AS), mentioned in the Quran for his patience and righteousness.
Prophet Dhul-Kifl (peace be upon him) is mentioned in the Quran as a prophet of Allah. His name means 'the one from Kifl.' Some scholars say he was the son of Prophet Ayyub (AS), and that his real name was Bishr. Allah tested Ayyub, and when Ayyub was healed, he was told to go to a spring and bathe. Ayyub's wife was told to go to another spring. On the way, Allah restored Ayyub's form, and his wife didn't recognize him at first. Allah gave Ayyub his family back and a new son — and some say this son was Dhul-Kifl. The Quran mentions Dhul-Kifl alongside prophets like Ismail and Idris, describing them all as patient and steadfast. Allah says: 'And mention in the Book, Ismail, Idris, and Dhul-Kifl — all were of the patient.' Dhul-Kifl (AS) was known for his patience, justice, and devotion to Allah. He would take on responsibilities and fulfill them perfectly.
