Prophet Hud (AS) - The Messenger to Aad
Learn about Prophet Hud (AS) who warned the people of Aad against arrogance.
Prophet Hud (peace be upon him) was sent to the people of Aad. The people of Aad were very strong and wealthy. They built tall buildings and were proud of their strength. But they worshipped idols instead of Allah and were arrogant. Hud (AS) called them to worship Allah alone, but they rejected him. They said: 'We are the strongest!' They mocked Hud and his message. Allah sent a terrible punishment — a fierce wind that blew for seven nights and eight days, destroying everything. Only Hud and the believers were saved. The ruins of Aad can still be seen as a reminder of what happens to arrogant people.
