Prophet Ayyub (AS) - The Ultimate Test of Patience
Learn about Prophet Ayyub (AS) whose patience through illness and loss is an example for all time.
Prophet Ayyub (peace be upon him) was a wealthy and righteous man. Allah tested him with the loss of everything — his wealth, his children, and his health. He suffered from a terrible illness for many years. His body was covered in painful sores, and people avoided him. Only his wife stayed by his side. Despite all this suffering, Ayyub (AS) never complained. He remained patient and continued to worship Allah. He said: 'Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.' After years of patience, Allah commanded Ayyub to strike the ground with his foot. A spring of cool water gushed forth, and Allah cured him. Allah restored his wealth, gave him new children, and healed his body completely. The Quran mentions Ayyub as an excellent servant — patient and always turning to Allah. His story teaches us that no matter how difficult life gets, we should never lose faith in Allah's mercy.

Authentic Hadith
